Why this exists
Help getting your foot in the door.
I built Resume Scaffold during my own job search. Too many applications were getting filtered out by automated screening before a person ever saw them, so I made something to fix that. It worked well enough that I wanted to share it.
Ask a model to write your resume and it will. It has no way to know which parts of your history are real, so it fills the gaps with things that sound right. You won't always catch it, and once is enough to cost you the job.
So the model here never writes a fact. It picks from the ones you already wrote down, and it tags every line with where that line came from.
Every application, in a fraction of the time
Tailoring a resume by hand is a 10–15 minute chore you repeat for every job. Resume Scaffold does it in under a minute.
The usual way
~12 min- •Find the job and read the posting
- •Open a new Google Doc and rework your resume
- •Paste it into ChatGPT or Claude for another pass
- •Copy the edits back and fix the formatting
- •Export a PDF, save it, upload, and apply
With Resume Scaffold
~1 min- ✓Paste the posting (or grab it with the extension)
- ✓Get a tailored, ATS-checked resume from your library
- ✓Export a clean PDF and apply
One promise, always
It never invents facts about you. Every line in a generated resume is copied from something you approved, or lightly adapted from it, and tagged so you can tell which. Your resume only ever says what you have said.
Yours, not invented
Built only from accomplishments you wrote and approved.
Independent
Nobody's funding this, so nobody's pushing me to add things you don't need.
Made by a job-seeker
I use this on my own applications. Tell me when something breaks.
